Taking Care of Pens...
Care Tips –
For Ballpoint/Rollerball pens –
Always replace the cap when not in use to prevent the tip from drying out and getting damaged.
Avoid storing in direct sunlight or areas with extreme temperatures, as heat can cause the ink to expand and leak, and cold canthicken the ink.
Avoid dropping or applying excessive force to the pen, as this can damage the ballpoint mechanism.
Use high-quality refills compatible with your pen to ensure smooth writing and longevity.
Periodically clean the tip with a soft cloth to remove any ink buildup or debris.
For Fountain pens –
Regular flushing: Clean the nib and feed with lukewarm water after each refill or when changing ink colors.
At least monthly, disassemble the pen (if possible) and soak the nib and feed in cool water with a drop of dish soap (pen-safe) to remove dried ink.
Do not use abrasive cleaners that could damage the pen.
Avoid waterproof or pigmented inks that can clog the pen.
Cap the pen when not in use: This protects the nib from damage and drying out.
Protect from extreme temperatures and sunlight: Store in a cool, dry place.
Avoid dropping or knocking: Handle with care to prevent damage to the nib.
Don't press too hard: Apply only gentle pressure When writing.
Be mindful of air travel: Consider using cartridges instead of converters when flying and detach them from the feed to prevent leakage.
